fyeahlilbitoeverything: thehappysorceress: DC COMICS HOME FOR UNWANTED HEROES my latest commission from Mike Kevan I’ll be honest: my emotions regarding the DCnU hover in that space between anger & sadness, with occasional trips to frustrated. I could go on & on about my feelings but I’ll stick with my preferred method of letting Mike translate those thoughts into images (something he does so well). (embiggen for all the little details!)  I lvoe this so hard. Who is that at the door? If I had to guess, that’s Static at the door. Which would make sense, with his ongoing being cancelled now.  Still, it’s hard for me to take a lot of the complaints of characters retconned out of DC continuity seriously. We haven’t even had the DCnU for six months now, and we’re already getting back a lot of the characters we didn’t think we’d see again. The entire Earth 2 is getting their own series now.  Has it occurred to anyone that if we wait long enough, we’ll get a lot of the characters we miss back, with even more time left for their history to be expanded upon? I mean, we already know Cass is going to be in Batman Inc. Probably as Black Bat, but I have no complaints on that. And it’s not too big of a stretch to assume we’ll see Wally in a Flash comic within the next year. Geoff Johns has confirmed that he’ll be writing Captain Marvel Shazam stories in his Justice League series (and we all know what happens when Geoff Johns starts a project).  I will admit, I’m sad to not see a lot of my favorite characters in the DC universe as of now. But I have faith that they’ll show up again eventually, and maybe even with a slightly improved creative team behind them.
